Hiding from the world under a glam hat

I never was the kind to try my best to stand out of the crowd. As my mother taught me, it’s best to let the crown put you first then to force yourself into.

But sometimes, advices are made to be broken so last weekend I did, I have to admit this, tried some of my best to stand out. And, well for my surprise it actually works.

I’m not the kind to underestimate myself but I do believe that too much confidence can ruin a good person, and unfortunately I have many examples like this.

So, to a very cute and intimate event I put on the gala dress, the high heels and the all professional make up and stand up as the one that needs and will capture all the attention.

And because a glamour’s dress will never be perfect without the big, mysterious hat, I managed to take a small break for an on the street, stylish (from my point of view) photo shoot.

Fashion advice of the day!

Do trust you mother for advices, even if they are a bit vintage for this days, the life and experiences made them see things from another perspective.

But, some days your gut might just be the best solution. And take that glam dress, high heel and wonder the street in the most elegant way possible, if you can manage to get a photographer with you even better! Oohhh and don’t forget the hat!

Step into statement sandals!

Today I lost my self! In all the colors, the combinations, the patterns and the styles. Don’t even get me started on the heels, I simply LOVE heels, those big ones that give you all the confidence in the world.

So, it took me a while to look at every one of them and analyze every little detail. I know they are a little bit quirky and not wearable on a daily basis, but a girl can dream, right?!

These are my favorite:

Fashion advice of the day!

Try it and buy at list one pair of studded, yayoi patent leather, crystal-embellished, animal print, neon color, satin or any other ones that you know and been dreaming about it. Wear them with a lot of confidence and elegance, because they are as beautiful as you!

Now, if the heels scare you, here are some tricks that might come in handy:

  •  What is the place to break in your new heels? The supermarket! says Camilla Morton, author of How to Walk in High Heels. Get a cart and go for a spin. As you stock up on groceries, use the cart for balance while your feet get used to the new high heel.
  •  “Whenever and wherever you can, sit, sit, sit!,” says J. Alexander, the reigning diva of fancy footwork on America’s Next Top Model. “And cross your legs so that all can see your beautiful, fashion-forward, painful footwear. Think of yourself as a model on a photo shoot and stretch from the waist.” So don’t be afraid to give your tootsies a rest every now and then—you’ll last longer with breaks and give people a better view of your incredible shoes.
  •   When you buy a new pair of shoes, you need to customize them for your feet, says Meghan Cleary, a shoe expert and the author of The Perfect Fit: What Your Shoe Says About You.  You mostly feel it on the ball of your foot, because that’s where the pressure has been distributed. She recommends padding them up with Dr. Scholl’s Ball of Foot Cushions and Rub Relief Strips.
  • Walking in heels is not an easy task, even for us models who wear them almost every day, says model Ali Stephens. Make sure when you take a step you straighten and extend your leg—it’ll help you move gracefully and elegantly. Otherwise, you can look very uncoordinated, and your walk will appear choppy.
  • There is absolutely no substitute for knowing you look amazing in a pair of stilettos. All experts agree: You have to feel good and make it work! says model Ariel Meredith.  Don’t let the fear of stumbling keep you from owning these shoes, advises Ali Stephens, while Miss J. suggests you think of yourself as a model in attitude and presence, and Camilla Morton reminds us, When you wear high heels, you look good and you feel good!

Stiletto pumps go perfect with long walks!

Yesterday it was the first day after a couple of hectic ones that I managed to go out and enjoy a few hours in the open ear.

I don’t even know with what to start, from the fact that I went to a lovely garden, then a walk in the park or the strange but nice sandwich in the middle on the street in the middle of the night! :))

The feeling of letting go and blocking all the questions, problems and worries is sometimes the most invigorating thing on the planet. So, this is what I’ve done last evening/night with nice company and some awesome places.

Fashion advice of the day!

Even if you are dressed with a stiletto pair of pumps, that look perfect and that should be wore at an exquisite gala, sometimes the best thing is to take those amazing shoes and walk them through the gravel of a park, take them to a secret garden in an all houses neighborhood and then when the moon shines bright go buy a Taiwan sandwich that can only, and I do mean only be eaten in the middle of the street.

Yes, as I said before, do all that with a stiletto shoes, only like this the world can seam problem less and willing to give all you need.

One day I took the two little piggy’s out on a walk.

It came a time when the boyish girl had in some extent to transform into a woman. So, my dear mom decide to help me make that transitions by reading a couple of books that revealed what a woman is and the way it behavior should be.

In that stack there was this astonishing, strange but really good book called: A woman of thirty by Honore de Balzac. Through the many things that I found and strive to learn from it, was the fact that we women should keep all of our personalities (meaning child, boyish/girlish, mature woman, teacher, doctor, etc.) intact and use them wisely when needed.

Not forgetting this, made me one day at not such a really young age, to buy and happily wear a pair of crazy, extremely childish shoes. The piglets! Pink pigs with white and soft pink background.  Amazing!

The moment they came to my door, they were delivered by a nice lady Marushka, I felt madly in love. :))

Fashion advice of the day!

Don’t transform yourself in just one person, one typology. You are complex and it’s really good to show that, to be that confident that it will be no problem to present yourself to the world in any way you prefer. Be the boyish/girlish that wear animals as bags or shoes, be the teacher that always has a book in her purse, be the stylish that can wear with big grace the stiletto heel, or anything that you are, but remember you should really be that, fakes are not accepted!
